Mystery Trackers: Four Aces

The Mystery Trackers series from Elephant Games can easily be classified as one of the top Hidden Object series ever created! Since the start of The Void, Mystery Trackers games keep improving title by title, in Four Aces the awesome 'snowy' atmosphere from Raincliff made its return in the town of Brightfield!

The story is fairly similar to all other Mystery Trackers games, an abandoned town, rescue people and track down the baddies! But with several interesting twists, the story still feels fresh, new and exciting to follow. The Four Aces also includes many unexpected twists and turns which make the story even more intriguing.

Graphics are fantastic as usual, the game is very atmospheric and all cut scenes are very high-quality! The music and sound effects are also top-notch, we highly recommend you to play with the sounds on as it makes the game much more exciting! All HO scenes are crystal clear and objects are easy to find, in many HO scenes, you will find little mini-game to play in order to obtain the object, a nice little touch to make the searching objects task more fun! The voice overs are great, however, the developers surely need to do much work on characters' lip-syncing.

Puzzles are really entertaining even though are not completely new, some puzzles had already made their appearance in the previous games by Elephant Games. The game comes with a very useful map which helps prevent a huge lot of backtracking! Map points out where to go and allow you to fast-travel to the location as you wish. The Four Aces offers us many modes of gameplay, it includes a 'Detective Mode' which is a great mode for (very) advanced players since it won't allow the use of Skip and Hint button and the cursor also wouldn't change when moves close to the area of interest!

As well as its great gameplay, The Four Aces includes many other Extras to enjoy! For example, Poker Chips which can be collected to buy toys and house decorations for 'Elf'', your dog helper! There are also many Morphing Creatures to hunt for during the game, this is a nice change from the usual Morphing Objects. Once these creatures are collected, you will be able to read the Fact-File, this is not only interesting but adds to the story of the game! On the other hand, we really missed the Achievements that used to offer in the previous Elephant Games, an addition of that would be perfect!

For Collector's Edition purchasers, you will be able to play a great Bonus Chapter which although contains mostly the same locations as the main game but the quality is still very high and the story is very interesting! Other Extras includes a Strategy Guide, Wallpapers, Screensavers, Music, Concept Art, 16 replayable Mini-Games and Bonus Videos which contain footage of the shootings and a little sneak peak to the next game!

Mystery Trackers: The Four Aces is the best in the series yet, Elephant Games seems to never run out of new ideas. The Four Aces is an excellent Hidden Object Adventure game which does right on every aspects, buy it now and you wouldn't regret!
