Jo's Dream: Organic Coffee - Review

Name: Jo's Dream: Organic Coffee
Release Date: 02 August 2012
Developer: Melesta Games

Melesta Games is the developers behind many hit Time Management series such as Farm Frenzy, Virtual Farm and the amazing strategy game Toy Defense. While many developers now turned to focus on developing Hidden Object Adventure games, we're more than happy to see that Melesta still keep on working on Time Management games! In the past, we've surely played through a lot of bakery themed or restaurant themed Time Management games, but what about coffee shop? In Jo's Dream: Organic Coffee, you take on the role of the owner of a brand new coffee shop, restore it and make it popular! Although the story is overly simple, the gameplay is very fun indeed. In each location, you will have to make your shop a 5-Stars shop by completing tasks list, we found this interesting and it gives some purposes to the game. As for the gameplay, Jo's Dream is a dash-type TM game, or which some people called 'click-fest' type and Jo's Dream involves a huge lot of clicking! There're loads of coffee recipes which you have to remember, but it doesn't matter if you can't because you can always take a look at the recipe book at the top of the screen. The gameplay is also not difficult to learn, once the customer enter the shop, you have to click on their bubble and look through the menu, make them and serve them to the customer, some might found this quite annoying because every time you want to look at the menu, you have to click on the bubble first! However, its gameplay is very entertaining as well as addicting! In addition, there're also tons of upgrade options, from hiring staff, purchasing machines to restoring and decorating shop! For the difficulty, the game offers you two modes "Timed" or "Relaxed" as most Time Management nowadays offered, "Timed" mode is much more challenging, since the time and the customers' patience run out much faster. For the visual aspects, graphics are attractive, colorful and look very modern which is nice, music is also pleasing and later in the game, you can purchase a stereo to change the theme music so it doesn't get repetitive! On the negative side, the items are a little too tiny, and each coffee machines are often placed directly next to each other and therefore, misclicking is highly possible! Anyway, Jo's Dream: Organic Coffee is a very compelling and cheerful Time Management game, people who don't like much clicking wouldn't like it, but it would definitely impressed hardcore Time Management fans!
