Abandoned: Chestnut Lodge Asylum - Review

Name: Abandoned: Chestnut Lodge Asylum
Release Date: 29 April 2012
Developer: Lazy Turtle Games

Abandoned: Chestnut Lodge Asylum from Lazy Turtle Games has a great potential to be a great CE game, with many extras that all CE games should have (Guide, wallpapers, Achievements, wide-screen support) and even morphing objects which are very well hidden in this game, however, at the end it's just another very ordinary SE game! The cut scene at the beginning looks very promising, unfortunately, the storyline is very boring, old and uninteresting with very few twists and turns! HOG scenes are also mostly junk piles and items are often hidden too well, puzzles are not unique and music are just okay! Graphics could have been much better, they're a little bit grainy and all scenes are too dark and gloomy. The game features a whole lot of back and forth walking from place to place which is not so impressive either! Despite all the flaws, Abandoned still deliver us an enjoyable, atmospheric gameplay with satisfying extra content...
